Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator with experience in the aerospace industry to join our precision manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing edits in CNC programs, performing tool changes and ensuring part quality through precise measurements. This role is critical to maintaining our commitment to producing high-quality aerospace components.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate CNC lathes to produce precision aerospace components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Perform program edits and offsets as needed to ensure optimal machining performance and accuracy. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Perform tool changes and machine adjustments with minimal supervision. Inspect parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators to verify dimensions and tolerances. Maintain tight tolerances required for aerospace applications and complete quality documentation as needed. Troubleshoot machining issues and collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve problems. Maintain a clean and safe work area in accordance with 5S and company safety policies. Follow all company policies, quality procedures, and

ISO/AS9100

standards.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in machining or CNC preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience operating CNC lathes in a precision manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace. Experience with running parts 2" in diameter and under. Runs of 100-300 pcs Strong understanding of CNC programming with editing programs at the machine. Proficient in using micrometers, calipers, and other precision inspection tools. Familiarity with aerospace materials, machining practices, and quality standards. Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail. Excellent problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with Mazak controls a plus Experience with duel spindle Mazak a plus

Work Environment:

Manufacturing shop floor; exposure to machining equipment, noise, and lubricants. May require standing for extended periods and lifting parts up to 50 lbs.
