Job Description
MRP Manufacturing is a growing, family-owned manufacturing company seeking a CNC Machine Operator with a basic foundation in machining or manufacturing. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who already understands the fundamentals and is ready to continue developing their skills. We are looking for someone who can become productive relatively quickly after learning our equipment, products, and processes. This is not a CNC programming position, but candidates should be comfortable working around CNC equipment, checking their own parts, and following established work instructions. Responsibilities Operate CNC vertical milling machines Load and unload parts and monitor machine cycles Inspect completed parts using precision measuring tools Read and follow basic blueprints, work instructions, and inspection requirements Recognize when a part or process may be outside specifications and communicate concerns Deburr and finish machined parts Complete assembly of finished products Maintain an organized and safe work area Assist with other shop responsibilities as needed Qualifications At least one year of CNC machine operation, machine-shop, or relevant manufacturing experience preferred Advanced manufacturing certificate, associate degree, technical-school experience, or comparable hands-on training will also be considered Basic experience using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools Ability to read basic blueprints and understand dimensions and tolerances Comfortable working with decimals and fractions Strong mechanical ability and attention to detail Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work well as part of a small team Willingness to learn and accept feedback Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 70 pounds when needed Reliable transportation Experience with machine setups, tool changes, offsets, manual equipment, or inspection documentation is helpful but not required.
