Job Summary As a CNC Grinder, you will play a critical role in manufacturing high-precision carbide cutting tools using advanced CNC tool grinding machines. You will be responsible for programming, setup, operation, and inspection to ensure consistent, premium-quality output. This position is ideal for a hands-on machinist who values accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Supervisory Responsibilities- None What You'll Be Doing
- Set up CNC grinding machines, including tooling, offsets, and adjustments.
- Program and operate CNC grinders to meet exact blueprint and customer specifications.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, prints, and technical documentation.
- Inspect parts using precision measurement and quality control tools.
- Monitor production quality throughout the process-catching issues before they become problems.
- Troubleshoot quality concerns and communicate effectively with programmers and leadership.
- Perform daily machine inspections to ensure safe, efficient operation.
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe workstations.
- Support continuous improvement and take ownership of your work.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support production goals. What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of 5-Axis CNC setup and operation experience, preferably on ANCA- or NUM-controlled platforms.
- Strong understanding of carbide cutting tools and grinding processes.
- Machining or CNC-related certification preferred-but proven hands-on experience is valued just as highly.
- Knowledge of cutters, inserts, feeds, and speeds is a strong advantage.
- CNC programming experience is a plus, but not required.
- Manufacturing experience preferred; motivated learners are encouraged to apply. Skills That Will Set You Apart
