Full Job Description CNC Press Brake Setup/Operator Position Type:
Temp-to-Perm (direct hire)
Shifts:
1st & 3rd Shift Position Overview Seeking an experienced CNC Press Brake Setup/Operator for a fast-paced sheet metal manufacturing environment in Virginia. This role requires hands-on press brake setup and operation experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to produce quality parts across varying production runs. Key Responsibilities Set up, program, and operate CNC press brakes for sheet metal fabrication. Complete tooling changes, machine setups, and production changeovers. Read and work from blueprints, drawings, work orders, and job specifications. Edit G-code and machine programs as needed. Inspect completed parts using calipers and other precision measuring tools. Troubleshoot basic machine or production issues and perform light routine maintenance. Move materials and finished parts using forklifts and pallet jacks. Maintain production quality, efficiency, safety, and accurate work records. Qualifications Previous CNC press brake setup and operating experience required. Sheet metal fabrication or job shop experience strongly preferred. Experience with Amada press brakes highly preferred. Salvagnini panel bender experience is a plus. Ability to read blueprints and understand bend specifications. Experience editing G-code or CNC programs preferred. Strong mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting/light maintenance skills. Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work on your feet throughout the shift. Dependable attendance and ability to work effectively in a production environment.
