controls . To be considered for position you must meet all requirements. Position Summary We are seeking a highly experienced SeniorCNC FANUC
Programmer to support complex manufacturing operations in a heavy industrial environment. The ideal candidate will possess extensive hands-on experience programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing Fanuc CNC systems while also demonstrating strong expertise with Allen-Bradley PLC-based automation systems. Preference will be given to candidates with proven experience in the steel industry, where reliability, production efficiency, and equipment availability are critical. Key Responsibilities Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize Fanuc CNC programs for industrial manufacturing equipment. Diagnose and resolve CNC machine faults, servo issues, spindle problems, and communication failures. Perform CNC commissioning, startup, machine upgrades, and production support. Develop, modify, and troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLC programs using Studio 5000 / RSLogix 5000. Configure and maintain FactoryTalk View HMI applications. Commission and troubleshoot industrial automation systems including drives, motors, sensors, instrumentation, and distributed I/O. Integrate CNC equipment with plant automation and manufacturing systems. Support production by responding quickly to equipment failures and minimizing downtime. Perform root cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions. Optimize machine cycle times and improve manufacturing processes. Work closely with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams during troubleshooting and capital projects. Support equipment upgrades, modernization projects, and commissioning activities. Create and maintain electrical and automation documentation, backups, and technical reports. Follow plant safety procedures and industrial best practices at all times. Ability to work on the plant floor, including exposure to heat, dust, noise, and industrial equipment. Occasional travel may be required based on project needs. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent industrial experience). Minimum 7 years of industrial automation experience. Extensive experience programming and troubleshooting Fanuc CNC controls. Strong experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix PLCs.Proficiency with:
Studio 5000, RSLogix 5000, FactoryTalk View SE/ME Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems. Experience with industrial communication networks including: EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet ControlNet (preferred) Experience commissioning industrial equipment. Ability to interpret electrical drawings, control schematics, P&IDs, and machine documentation. Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment. Preferred Qualifications previous experience in the steel manufacturing industry (hot mills, cold mills, processing lines, tube mills, rolling mills, finishing lines, or similar heavy industrial operations).Experience with:
Servo systems, Industrial drives, Motion control, Safety PLCs, Industrial robotics Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Experience supporting continuous production facilities operating 24/7. Familiarity with MES, SCADA, and industrial data collection systems. Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
