Job Description
DESCRIPTION
Price Industries is seeking a CNC Programmer in our Casa Grande, AZ, plant. The main function of the CNC Programmer is to translate 2D mechanical drawings into programs to run on both CNC Turret Punch Presses and Flatbed Laser machines. Job responsibilities will include creating programs, helping to maintain the machinery, and helping to optimize both machine and material utilization. Responsibilities Create CNC programs for all new products Nest parts on a per-order basis to ensure the highest material yield. Update CNC programs for all Engineering Changes Engage in maintenance, trouble shooting and training on our CNC machines. Help manage punch tooling and laser consumable inventory Implement regular checks of tool wear on all CNC's Track actual machine utilization and develop and implement ideas to improve machine utilization Improve material utilization Develop and implement methods to measure and improve scrap rates Develop and implement ideas to improve management of filler parts Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication programming software Ability to create and modify CAD drawings (AutoCad preferred) Ability to learn new software Ability to work with assembly operators on building prototypes. Communicate well with operators and design team on issues Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause solutions. Qualifications Minimum 2-year associates degree OR 4 yrs experience in a manufacturing environment instead of a degree.PI123 ABOUT PRICE INDUSTRIES
