Using state‑of‑the‑art Mastercam, you'll translate complex prints into robust toolpaths and help our shop deliver flawless parts the first time, every time. A Day in the Life Kick off with a review of new jobs: interpret drawings/blueprints and define machining strategy for 2-3 axis lathes and 3-5 axis equipment. Build and optimize Mastercam programs with efficient toolpaths, speeds/feeds, and workholding strategies. Set up and, when needed, operate CNC lathes to validate programs and achieve tight tolerances. Partner with engineering and production to confirm accuracy, manufacturability, and throughput before release. Run in‑process checks, verify dimensions, and adjust offsets or code to meet spec. Troubleshoot programming or machining issues quickly to keep schedules on track. Document programs, setups, revisions, and best practices for repeatability. Stay current on tooling, CAM, and multi‑axis trends to continuously improve cycle times and quality. What You Bring Proven CNC programming experience with a focus on precision machining. Advanced proficiency in CAM—especially Mastercam. Hands‑on familiarity with Siemens controls and CamPlete Verification Software. Solid knowledge of lathe operations, machining principles, and GD&T. Fluency reading technical drawings/blueprints and planning setups. Sharp problem‑solving, strong attention to detail, and clear communication. Team‑oriented mindset and the ability to collaborate across departments. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training/certifications are a plus.
