CNC Machine Operator / Programmer Working Supervisor AME Corp of Ocala is seeking an experienced CNC Machine Operator with programming experience to join our growing manufacturing team. This is a hands-on Working Supervisor position for a motivated individual who can lead by example while operating and programming CNC equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. We are looking for someone with machining knowledge, leadership ability, and the drive to maintain quality, efficiency, and production performance.
Responsibilities:
- Program CNC mills and CNC lathes at the machine
- Set up and operate CNC machining equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Select tooling, fixtures, speeds, and feeds for production
- Perform first-piece inspections and maintain quality standards
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues
- Supervise and assist machine operators and shop personnel Coordinate workflow and production scheduling with management Maintain safe and organized work areas
- Ensure jobs are completed accurately and on time
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years CNC machining experience preferred
- Experience programming at the machine required
- K nowledge of CNC mills and CNC lathes
- Ability to read precision measuring tools and blueprints Experience with tight tolerance machining
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong work ethic and problem-solving ability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Experience:
- G-code programming
- Prototype and production machining
- Job shop or industrial manufacturing environment
- Experience with manual machine equipment operation is a plus
