Programmer / Lathe Operator - Direct H ire (1st Shift) Starting at $22/hr+ Based on

3:00am Start | Significant Overtime Available-must be able to work 10-12 hour days, along with Saturdays We are seeking a skilled Programmer/Lathe Operator to join our client's Machine Shop team on a direct-hire basis. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on machining, programming, problem-solving, and contributing to a high-performance manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret complex drawings and blueprints for machining operations. Program G-Code and develop CNC lathe/mill programs using MasterCam . Operate and set up most CNC and manual machines within the shop. Understand tooling concepts and select appropriate tooling for machining operations. Support scheduling of CNC machines and operator assignments when needed. Review and interpret internal reports including scheduling spreadsheets, backlog reports, and Guardian system data. Assist the Machine Shop Supervisor with special projects such as: 3PM crash protection software Renishaw probing New and trial tooling initiatives Participate in safety and incident review meetings as required. Perform direct labor and other tasks as needed to support department operations. Experience programming CNC lathes/mills (MasterCam required). Strong understanding of machining operations, tooling, and shop processes. Ability to operate and set up a wide range of CNC and manual machines. Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to support team operations. Compensation Starting at $22/hr. with higher rates available based on experience. Overtime available and expected, offering strong earning potential.
