We are looking for a CNC Programmer/Toolmaker who has a drive for excellence! The CNC Programmer/Toolmaker is responsible for designing, procuring, programming, and building tooling and fixturing required to support production manufacturing on CNC machine tools and ancillary equipmentsuch as lathes, grinders, and millsthat cut and finish metals. This role ensures fixtures are optimized for efficiency, accuracy, and seamless integration into production workflows.

We are looking for a CNC Programmer/Toolmaker who has a drive for excellence! The CNC Programmer/Toolmaker is responsible for designing, procuring, programming, and building tooling and fixturing required to support production manufacturing on CNC machine tools and ancillary equipmentsuch as lathes, grinders, and millsthat cut and finish metals. This role ensures fixtures are optimized for efficiency, accuracy, and seamless integration into production workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, design, and manufacture fixturing to meet production schedules and optimize machining processesCollaborate within a team of engineers and programmers to support department responsibilities and objectivesEdit and adjust programs as needed to support production manufacturing operationsMaintain network backups of finalized programs and fixture designs at the completion of each jobPrepare tool lists and coordinate with the tool crib to ensure necessary tools are availableOrder cutting tools when required and maintain updated tooling records as neededCollaborate with Engineering and the CNC Milling Manager to resolve process and routing issuesSupervise floor operators as directed by the CNC Milling ManagerAssist with machine setups and perform setups when necessaryTroubleshoot setup, programming, and tooling issues to minimize disruptionsRequired Skills & Qualifications:
Advanced CAM programming skills (Preferably CAMWorks)CAD solid modeling design skills (Preferably SolidWorks)Strong reading comprehension and blueprint interpretation abilitiesProficiency in math, including algebra, trigonometry, and physicsActive listening and problem-solving capabilitiesExcellent time management and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsMechanical aptitude with a deep understanding of metal shop operationsHigh attention to detail and ability to work independentlyProficiency in standard computer and digital manufacturing tools (word processors, spreadsheets, databases, DNC software)Understanding of safety measures pertinent to machining operationsEducation & Experience:
