Our team is constantly pushing the envelope in precision manufacturing. We use state of the art machines to tackle our customer's most challenging projects. We take great pride in our ability to exceed customer expectations for surface finish and for manufacturing tolerances. As a CNC programmer/machinist at our Troy facility, this role will work with minimal guidance and communicate training and instruction to both the quality dept and the machinists. The programmer will select tools and processes for manufacturing, create, and edit programs, and build setup sheets and tool lists. Programmers are also expected to ensure compliance of products with internal, and customer requirements, and support the disposition of materials with quality questions. The position requires interfacing with internal customers, external customers and occasionally with suppliers.
Additional responsibilities may include:
Manages multiple projects and project task activities. Project activities include manufacturing plan development, as well as data collection and analysis. Demonstrates high level of self-initiative and bias for action. Demonstrates ability to solve problems and exercises creativity to develop and implement practical solutions. Proven track record of "getting things done." This position requires a firm understanding of machining and GD&T, so the individual must be hands-on and able to get things accomplished. Collaborates with engineering staff to identify possible fixturing or tolerance related problems. Consults with Engineering Design, Supply and Quality operations as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
Experience with Mastercam Programming and setup experience Understanding of GD&T Basic knowledge of G-code for Fanuc lathes and mills Must be a U.S. Person
