https://talentassistant.aerotek.com/assistant/bookings/1fzONE9f Job Description This role focuses on setting up, programming, and operating Citizen L20, M32, and K16 CNC Swiss lathes to produce high-precision machined parts. You will manage the full machining process from program creation through in-process inspection, ensuring quality, efficiency, and reliability in a clean, modern medical manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Set up and operate Citizen L20, M32, and K16 CNC Swiss lathes to produce precision machined parts. Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for new and existing parts using ESPRIT software. Work from a variety of detailed blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements. Handle the complete machining process, including machine setup, tooling changes, program editing, program loading, and troubleshooting. Maintain high quality standards through thorough in-process inspection of parts and continuous monitoring of machining processes. Monitor and document operational and performance issues and provide clear feedback to the supervisor. Apply GD&T principles to ensure parts meet dimensional and tolerance specifications. Use Fanuc controls and G-code to adjust and refine programs directly at the machine as needed. Mentor and train lower-level machinists, supporting their development in setup, operation, and basic programming. Collaborate with team members to improve processes, reduce scrap, and enhance overall productivity. Essential Skills At least 5 years of CNC programming experience, preferably on Swiss turning centers. Proficiency in ESPRIT software for CNC programming and optimization. Strong G-code fluency with the ability to edit and refine programs at the machine. High-level blueprint reading skills, including interpretation of complex drawings and tolerances. Hands-on experience with CNC Swiss machining and turning center operations. Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Experience with Fanuc controls and related CNC interfaces. Proficiency with measuring tools for in-process inspection and verification of part dimensions. Solid understanding of shop mathematics for calculations related to machining and programming. Ability to perform accurate setups, tooling changes, and machine adjustments in a production environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in tool and die or precision machining environments. Experience working with machined parts for medical or similarly high-precision industries. Familiarity with numerical control concepts and best practices. Ability to troubleshoot machining and programming issues efficiently and systematically. Experience mentoring or training junior machinists or apprentices. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining tight tolerances and quality standards. Effective communication skills for documenting issues and providing feedback to supervisors and team members. Why Work Here? • $99000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
