Job Description

5-Axis CNC Programmer responsible for developing efficient machining programs, verifying tool paths, and creating accurate setup documentation for precision manufacturing operations. Job Requirements 3+ years of experience with 5-axis CNC programming. Experience using Vericut verification software or equivalent machining simulation software. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and work instructions. Knowledge of machining methods, tooling, tool paths, and CNC programming techniques. Knowledge of AS9100 or similar quality system requirements. Preferred Skills Experience developing efficient machining strategies for complex components. Experience with standardized tooling packages and machining cells. Experience identifying programming errors, incorrect geometry, and potential tool collisions through simulation. Experience creating tool lists, setup sketches, and machining setup documentation. Job Responsibilities Determine efficient machining methods using appropriate tool paths, techniques, and tooling. Develop and optimize CNC programs for 5-axis machining operations. Create detailed setup instructions, tool lists, and setup sketches. Verify CNC programs using Vericut or equivalent software to identify geometry errors, tool crashes, and other programming issues. Utilize defined standard tooling packages when applicable for designated machining cells. Review engineering drawings and work instructions to determine machining requirements. Ensure machining programs and processes comply with applicable quality system requirements and customer-invoked standards, including AS9100.
