CNC Operator / Programmer Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible to set up, program and operate Tsunami and Daewoo CNC lathes machines with EDM programming experience.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Program & set up CNC machines (computerized Numerical Control)
- Prepare the first piece inspection in accordance with company policy.
- If required, submit first piece to quality control department for inspection.
- Obtain and load proper bar stock to machines.
- Operate machines introduction mode, when not engaged in a setup.
- Make minor and/or major adjustments to machinery to insure that production stays within established quality parameters.
- Completion of production records such as recap cards and pan tickets.
- Assist in securing proper paperwork for operators within your compliment of machines.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS
- High School Diploma or GED
- Excellent math skills
- Ability to use gages and precision measuring equipment and read and interpret blue prints.
- Prior experience setting up various CNC machines is necessary
- Knowledge of setting up and operating CNC Lathes and HMC's are a must
- EDM Experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Job Type:
