You will leverage your expertise in CAD/CAM software to transform complex blueprints into efficient production programs, directly impacting our ability to deliver high-quality metal components on schedule. Responsibilities Develop and refine CNC programs for laser and punch press equipment to maximize production efficiency. Translate engineering blueprints into accurate flat pattern layouts and detailed manufacturing instructions. Collaborate with engineering teams to reverse engineer parts and optimize designs for cost-effective fabrication. Design custom tooling and manage procurement processes to support unique production requirements. Utilize advanced nesting software to minimize material waste and improve overall run times. Maintain comprehensive set-up sheets and documentation to ensure consistent, high-quality output across all shifts. Troubleshoot G-code and technical production issues to maintain seamless operational flow. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of 3 years of professional experience programming CNC punch press or laser machinery for sheet metal fabrication. Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and CAM software, specifically within a sheet metal environment. Strong command of G-code programming, editing, and troubleshooting. Deep understanding of material properties, bend deductions, and precision fabrication techniques. Proven ability to apply complex mathematical principles to solve real-world manufacturing challenges. Preferred Skills Experience with SigmaNEST or similar advanced nesting platforms. Background in mechanical engineering or related technical field. Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, customer-focused manufacturing setting. Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on continuous process improvement.
