We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer who combines programming expertise with the hands-on ability to set up jobs, prove out programs, and solve machining challenges. The Opportunity Take ownership of CNC programming and machining processes for precision aerospace components. Depending on your expertise, you will support 3-axis and 5-axis milling or CNC turning, perform complete job setups, and collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to deliver accurate, repeatable results. What You Will Do Develop, verify, and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam and/or ESPRIT for milling or turning operations. Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and customer manufacturing specifications. Plan machining sequences and select tooling, fixtures, workholding, feeds, and speeds. Perform complete job setups, including tool loading, fixture installation, work offsets, and program prove-outs. Verify toolpaths through simulation and troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machining issues. Create clear setup sheets, tool lists, and manufacturing instructions. Support first-piece verification and first article inspection with the Quality team. Improve cycle times, tool life, part quality, and process repeatability. Maintain program revision control, traceability, and accurate manufacturing documentation. Follow applicable aerospace quality requirements and customer specifications, including practices associated with AS9100 and
ISO 9001
, and support AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements. What You Bring 5+ years of relevant CNC programming and machining experience , preferably in aerospace manufacturing. Strong programming and setup experience in CNC milling or CNC turning . For milling candidates, experience with 3-axis and 5-axis machining . Proficiency in Mastercam and/or ESPRIT . Ability to independently take a job from programming through complete setup and successful prove-out. Strong blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement skills. Working knowledge of G-code, M-code, cutting tools, and machining strategies. Experience producing tight-tolerance components. Familiarity with aerospace quality systems, inspection documentation, and controlled manufacturing processes.
Especially valuable:
Simultaneous 5-axis programming, advanced turning or mill-turn experience, fixture design, and experience machining titanium, stainless steel, or nickel-based alloys.
