Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces meticulously through sanding, masking, grinding, and surface cleaning to ensure optimal paint adhesion. Perform auto body repairs including dent removal, welding, and auto glass replacement to restore structural integrity before painting. Use automotive buffing and polishing tools to enhance surface shine and remove imperfections after painting. Maintain a clean and organized workspace by properly handling hand tools, power tools, grinders, and spray equipment while adhering to safety protocols such as respiratory protection. Conduct quality inspections of painted surfaces to ensure color match, finish consistency, and overall vehicle appearance meet company standards. Assist with auto restoration projects by providing expert surface preparation and finishing services that highlight craftsmanship and attention to detail. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive painting and refinishing. Hands-on experience with welding, auto body repair, auto restoration, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, grinders, sanders, buffing machines, and spray guns including airless paint sprayers. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with automotive surface preparation expertise. Familiarity with automotive buffing techniques, detailing processes, auto estimating, and heavy lifting requirements. Knowledge of paints, coatings, surface masking techniques, and auto glass installation is highly desirable. Prior experience working with automotive surface preparation products and safety equipment such as respiratory protection is preferred.
