Job Description
Job Summary We are looking for a skilled industrial painter who takes pride in their work and can operate independently from day one. Glenn's Body Repair is a well-established collision and industrial coating shop in West Fargo. Alongside our heavy-truck, RV, and boat body work, we run a growing industrial line: we prep and paint structural steel, equipment, and fabricated parts. You'll run interesting jobs, see variety every week, and join a tight crew that takes quality seriously. Duties Apply industrial and commercial coatings on structural steel, equipment, and parts Prep and profile surfaces: sandblast, power-tool clean, solvent wipe to spec Read and hit coating specs: re-coat windows, cure times, surface profile Mask and protect areas not being coated Operate and maintain spray equipment Inspect your own work and catch defects before parts ship Coordinate with management on job timing, staging, and sequencing Qualifications 3+ years hands-on industrial / commercial coating experience - steel, equipment, or heavy fab Solid surface-prep judgment - you know what adhesion failure looks like and how to prevent it Comfortable reading coating specs (profile, re-coat windows, cure times) Experience with spray equipment Able to work independently, manage your own staging, and hit deadlines Valid driver's license
