Job Information Join Doosan Bobcat as a Category Leader and play a key role in sourcing the materials and components that power our industry-leading equipment. In this position, you'll develop supplier partnerships, manage commodity strategies, and support new product development initiatives that drive innovation, quality, and cost efficiency. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you'll analyze market trends, identify sourcing opportunities, and help ensure a reliable global supply chain. This role offers hands-on exposure to strategic sourcing, supplier management, and business decision-making, with opportunities to collaborate across all levels of the organization and travel to supplier locations worldwide. Role & Responsibility Supply Management:
Responsible for strategic development of their assigned suppliers. Must keep abreast of market conditions and changes within the supplier's organization that may affect our relationship. Experience with managing one commodity.
NPD Support:
Support the organization on all new product development programs and value analysis/value engineering programs. Ensure that appropriate product launch plans are in place during the New Product Development phases including aftermarket.
Strategy:
Development of Commodity strategies. Alignment and implementation of the strategies.
Project Support:
Execution of project completion with mentoring. Project support on cross functional teams.
General Knowledge & Skills:
Demonstrates ability to adapt to change and seeks out solutions and align with management. Ability to develop business cases, aggregating forecast trends data into actionable plans. Good knowledge of assigned Commodity Establish a strong reputation for delivering results and building credibility. Maintain a professional demeanor and composure when facing challenges. Foster strong and collaborative relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Communication/Soft Skills:
Must be able to communication with everyone within an organization necessary for the role and escalate to sourcing leadership when needed. Able to report business updates and supplier performance to management.
Job Requirement Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fields.
Experience Required:
~2+years. Degree in Supply Chain may replace experience.
Travel Required:
20-40% Occasional global travel Must be able to communicate with everyone within an organization from persons on the shop floor to CEOs of major corporations. Must practice good judgement which allows the individual to commit to the most appropriate action after considering alternate courses of action. Must have leadership skills which will allow the commodity manager to persuade others to also accept this action and help implement the action plan. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
