As an Industrial Painter, you will work on metal containers and similar products in a production, industrial, or manufacturing painting setting. Candidates must be familiar with airless spray pumps and HVLP spray equipment. Your primary responsibilities will include painting, finishing, and maintaining a variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures. Responsibilities Paint, finish, and maintain a variety of interior and exterior metal surfaces and structures in a production environment. Prepare surfaces for painting and finishing, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and other prep work as needed. Apply undercoats and finish coats using airless spray pumps, HVLP spray equipment, spray guns, and brushes as appropriate. Mix and match paints and finishes to achieve the correct color, consistency, and coverage according to specifications. Select paints and coatings according to the companys color schemes, technical requirements, and job specifications. Advise on the proper selection, handling, and storage of paints, coatings, and related materials. Disassemble paint equipment and thoroughly clean components using solvents, wire brushes, and dry cloths. Stencil lettering and other identifying information on products according to drawings, templates, and written specifications. Stir, strain, and pour paint into spray containers, ensuring proper viscosity and readiness for application. Use brushes to paint areas that are inaccessible to spray equipment, ensuring complete and even coverage. Support the

Quality Management System by performing self-inspection of work to verify quality and compliance. Follow all safety procedures, including the proper use of paint suits, respirators, and other personal protective equipment. Handle and move materials and products, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds, as part of daily tasks. Collaborate with the paint department and production teams to meet schedule, quality, and productivity goals. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in and around the paint booth and related equipment. Skills 2+ years of industrial painting experience in a manufacturing or production environment, ideally working with metal products. Hands-on experience with industrial and manufacturing painting processes, including paint prep and spray painting. Proficiency using airless spray pumps for applying primers and finish coats. Proficiency using HVLP spray equipment and spray guns for precise, high-quality finishes. Experience working in paint booths and industrial painting environments. Ability to perform surface preparation, including blasting, sanding, and cleaning before painting. Knowledge of different paint systems, coatings, and their appropriate applications. Ability to mix and match paints and finishes to achieve the required color and finish. Capability to disassemble, clean, and reassemble paint equipment using solvents, wire brushes, and dry cloths. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience painting metal containers, metal parts, or similar industrial products. Exp in auto body painting, industrial paint applications, or sandblasting and prepping surfaces. Comfort working with a variety of paint application methods, including airless sprayers, HVLP systems, and manual brushing. Attention to detail in stenciling lettering and applying identifying information according to specifications. Strong understanding of production and manufacturing workflows in a paint or finishing department. Ability to follow detailed work instructions, safety procedures, and quality standards. Work Environment This role is based in a non-climate-controlled industrial facility where the environment is generally very warm. You will report to the paint department leadership and work primarily in and around paint booths and production areas. The schedule is 1st shift, typically from 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. The position requires wearing a Tyvek full-body paint suit and a half-face respirator, which in turn requires being clean-shaven to ensure a proper seal. You will regularly handle industrial painting equipment such as airless spray pumps, HVLP spray systems, spray guns, and related tools in a busy manufacturing setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cinnaminson, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00
