Summary We are looking for a dedicated Collision Painter's Helper to join our auto body repair team. This role supports our painters in preparing and refinishing vehicles to manufacturer and customer standards. The ideal candidate has experience working in a collision or auto body environment, understands surface preparation techniques, and can follow directions closely to ensure high-quality results. Key Duties & Responsibilities Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by washing, sanding, masking, and applying primer as directed. Assist painters with mixing paints and matching colors according to specifications. Mask and cover vehicle parts not being painted to protect from overspray. Operate and maintain shop tools and equipment including sanders, spray guns, and polishers. Support in applying basecoat, clear coat, and other finishes under supervision. Assist with small repairs, such as filling, smoothing, and prepping body panels. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following safety protocols. Collaborate with painters and technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs. Qualifications Previous experience in an auto body shop or collision repair environment preferred. Knowledge of basic refinishing techniques, sanding, masking, and priming. Familiarity with paint mixing systems and color-matching is an asset. Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work. Willingness to learn and take direction from senior painters.
