Job Description

Firecoat is a wildfire-resistant primer made by Flame Security International. It goes under a standard topcoat, letting homeowners keep the color they want while adding a performance layer that protects against ember-driven ignition. It is water-based, PFAS-free, and certified to FM Global, ASTM E84, and BAL-40 standards. Available through Ace Hardware stores across California. We are building the US market from California and need someone to lead our contractor and trade partnership channel. What the Job Is You build and run the painting contractor pipeline in California. That means running workshops at union halls and training centers, presenting at trade association and building trades council meetings, signing up painting contractors as Firecoat partners, and following up until they are actively completing projects with the product. Responsibilities Own the contractor pipeline from first contact through signed partnership and first completed project Run 2+ workshops per month at union halls, training centers, and Ace Hardware stores across California Build relationships with painting unions, contractor associations, and local building trades councils statewide Present at trade meetings, apprenticeship programs, and industry events Follow up on every contractor lead from workshops, inbound inquiries, and store referrals Maintain an accurate pipeline in HubSpot Submit content and event briefs to our creative studio so materials are ready when you need them Report weekly to the US Sales Director on pipeline progress and field activity What We Are Looking For Experience in contractor sales, business development, trade association engagement, or union liaison roles Comfortable presenting to groups of 10-50 people, in person and on Zoom Based in California with willingness to travel within the state regularly Background in painting, construction, fire service, or building products is a plus Self-directed and organized; you manage your own schedule and territory Familiar with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) Compensation $20 - $35/hour base pay depending on experience, plus commission on Firecoat sales revenue generated through your contractor and partnership channel. The more volume you build, the more you earn. This is a ground-floor opportunity with a product that is entering the market at exactly the right time. This is Not a Desk Job You will be in the field most of the time. All marketing and creative production is handled by our studio. You focus on people, relationships, and getting contractors trained and selling.
