• Job Description
• The Painter will be responsible for applying paint to various products, such as mower decks and parts, to protect them from the elements and enhance their aesthetic appeal. This role includes preparing surfaces, cleaning products, and applying coatings using spray guns.
• Responsibilities
• + Apply paint to various products, including mower decks and parts.

+ Prepare surfaces using a power washer to clean and ready them for painting.

+ Correct imperfections or roughen surfaces as needed.

+ Cleanse products thoroughly to remove dust and dirt.

+ Spray products with paint using spray guns to coat metal or steel products.

+ Fill the machine's tanks with a mixture of paints or chemicals, adding prescribed amounts of solution.

+ Adjust nozzles on the spray guns to obtain the proper dispersion of the spray.

+ Hold or position the guns to direct the spray onto the article.

+ Check the flow and viscosity of the paint or solution.

+ Inspect products for flaws, bubbles, or imperfections.

+ Add solvents or water to the paint vessel as needed.

+ Tend to equipment and observe and adjust gauges.

+ Use spray gun to apply touch-ups.

+ Assist with sub-assembly of mower decks as time allows.

• Essential Skills
• + Minimum of 3 years painting experience in a manufacturing, industrial setting, or auto body shop. + Experience painting metal products. + Ability to frequently lift, pull, and push 75+ pounds. + Great attention to detail and quality.
• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + Proficiency in using spray guns and paint preparation. + Familiarity with industrial painting techniques and equipment. + Knowledge of sanding, buffing, and coating processes.

• The work environment includes six buildings on the property, with the main building housing assembly, paint, and parts departments. Other buildings are dedicated to warehouse, weld, and machine shop operations. Employees will engage in manufacturing and assembly processes, ensuring quality and innovation in every task.

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $20.00
• $27.

00/hr.
