Manufacturing & Shop Assistant Tyler Gray Models - Aumsville, Oregon Part-Time to Full-Time | 24-40 Hours Per Week $15.55-$21.00/hr depending on experience and demonstrated skills In-Person | Daytime Hours About Tyler Gray Models Tyler Gray Models (TGM) is a small manufacturing and e-commerce business specializing in scale model helicopters, aircraft components, 3D-printed and CNC-machined parts, and specialty model work. We are looking for a dependable, motivated person to join our shop and become part of the day-to-day operation of the business. This is a hands-on position in a small shop. The initial focus will be on keeping the daily operation running smoothly — shipping orders, receiving and organizing inventory, preparing parts and materials, maintaining the shop, and assisting with basic assembly and manufacturing tasks. As you learn our products, processes, tools, and equipment, there will be opportunities to take on more responsibility and learn more advanced work. What You'll Do Your day-to-day responsibilities may include: Packaging and shipping customer orders Receiving shipments and organizing inventory Picking and preparing parts for orders and production Organizing and maintaining inventory Preparing materials and components for manufacturing Basic product assembly Preparing, cleaning, trimming, and finishing 3D-printed parts Assisting with manufacturing and shop projects Using basic hand tools and shop equipment Keeping work areas clean, organized, and safe Helping organize tools, materials, and components Following written and verbal instructions Completing routine shop tasks that keep production moving Helping wherever needed to keep the business operating efficiently This position will involve some repetitive and routine work. We're looking for someone who understands that these jobs are an important part of keeping a small manufacturing business running. Opportunities to Learn As you become familiar with our products and processes, you may have opportunities to learn: Scale model assembly 3D printing CNC machining Basic fabrication Finishing and painting Electronics and wiring More advanced manufacturing and assembly Other equipment and processes used throughout the shop You don't need to know how to do these things when you start. We are looking for someone who is willing and able to learn. What We're Looking For Previous RC or model-building experience is not required. Requirements Must be 18 years or older Reliable transportation to our shop in Aumsville Dependable attendance Basic computer skills Comfortable working with small parts and components Able to use basic hand tools or willing to learn Able to follow instructions and work independently after training Able to stand for extended periods Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs Must be able to pass a background check Schedule 24-40 hours per week Part-time and full-time candidates welcome Daytime hours Some schedule flexibility Additional hours and increased responsibility may become available based on performance, skill development, and business needs Compensation $15.55-$21.00 per hour , depending on experience and demonstrated skills. We don't expect someone starting in this position to know everything. Compensation and responsibilities can increase as you demonstrate that you can take on more complex work and responsibility.
