Controls Technician - $41.72/hr! This is a direct hire opportunity. We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join our automotive manufacturing team. This role offers an immediate start at $41.72/hr, with access to a comprehensive benefits package provided by the company. Core Responsibilities The Controls Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of various plant electrical and automated manufacturing systems, including PLCs, HMI systems, robotics, CNC controls, and associated electrical hardware. Modify electrical systems on existing and new machinery to help maintain a safe working environment and improve overall manufacturing efficiency Manage, organize, and archive electrical schematics, prints, and programmable processor files for all automation systems Support the establishment and maintenance of workflows for the creation, revision, and updating of electrical documentation Diagnose and resolve electrical, controls, and automation-related equipment malfunctions as they arise Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality departments to define equipment controls, machine concepts, and process requirements Provide technical support to Plant Maintenance for preventive-maintenance tasks and system repairs Adhere to all organizational policies, standard procedures, and relevant state code requirements Program, revise, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, robots, and other electronic manufacturing equipment Lead efforts to troubleshoot equipment failures to restore safe operating conditions for the entire team Contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives, such as cycle-time reduction and error-proofing projects Assist with various automation projects and plant-wide improvement efforts Gain a comprehensive understanding of departmental processes and products to support progression through the training program Complete all required training-matrix certifications for assigned operations, which may be linked to a progressive pay structure Demonstrate the necessary skills and capabilities to operate departmental machinery according to established standards Consistently meet or exceed production, quality, and performance goals Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant plant and departmental computer systems Exhibit dependable attendance, a stable work history, and a strong commitment to quality and detail Powered Industrial Truck Permit preferred
