In this pivotal role, you will oversee the entire cutting process, ensuring precision, efficiency, and quality in fabric preparation for manufacturing. Your expertise will drive the seamless transition from pattern development to garment assembly, fostering a productive environment that emphasizes craftsmanship and accuracy. Join us to shape innovative apparel collections and uphold the highest standards of fabric utilization and pattern integrity. Duties Supervise daily cutting room activities, coordinating with design, pattern-making, and production teams to meet project deadlines. Work with team to receive fabric and inventory fabric. Operate and maintain fabric cutting machines, including fabric materials handling equipment and automated cutting tools. Implement and optimize pattern-making software and flat pattern making techniques to ensure precise pattern layout and grading. Conduct quality control inspections on cut fabrics, ensuring measurements align with specifications and standards. Manage inventory of cutting tools, fabrics, and pattern materials; ensure proper storage and safety protocols are followed. Make sure cut reports are accurate Requirements Proven experience in machining, drafting, cutting, or related manufacturing roles within apparel or textile industries. Proficiency with fabric cutting machines, sewing machines, and other fabrication equipment. Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in pattern layout, fabric cutting, and final measurements. Solid math skills for calculating measurements, fabric consumption, and layout optimization. Effective leadership skills with the ability to train staff on technical processes and safety procedures.
Pay:
$27.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
