We are looking for an SMT Machine Operator to join our Broomfield - electronics manufacturing team. This position is responsible for the setup, programming, operation, and monitoring of equipment used in printed circuit board assembly. Previous SMT experience is preferred; however, candidates with experience operating CNC equipment, automated X-Y-Z motion equipment, robotics, or similar computer-controlled manufacturing equipment are encouraged to apply. Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to learn and operate technical production equipment are important for this position, and we're willing to train the right applicant.
Responsibilities:
Set up, program, and operate SMT pick-and-place equipment Set up and operate solder paste screen printing equipment Monitor and operate reflow ovens and established reflow profiles Load feeders, components, and production materials Verify component placement, polarity, orientation, and part numbers Perform SMT touch-up and hand soldering as required Operate wave solder equipment for through-hole PCB assemblies Perform lead forming and hand soldering of through-hole components Operate PCB wash and related production equipment Review work instructions, assembly drawings, BOMs, and production documentation prior to and during production Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area Follow established quality procedures and workmanship standards
Requirements:
Strong mechanical and technical aptitude Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to read and follow detailed work instructions, assembly drawings, BOMs, and production documentation Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to learn equipment setup, programming, and operating procedures Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a production team Organized work habits and ability to maintain an orderly production area Willingness to learn new equipment, processes, and electronics manufacturing techniques Preferred Experience and Qualifications Experience operating Samsung/Hanwha SMT pick-and-place equipment or experience operating CNC machinery, X-Y-Z automated equipment, robotics, or similar programmable manufacturing equipment. Experience with solder paste printing, reflow, wave soldering, or other PCB assembly processes Previous electronics manufacturing or PCB assembly experience SMT touch-up or hand-soldering experience Experience with IPC-A-610 and/or
J-STD-001

Pay:
