Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Soldering Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, soldering, and testing electronic components and electro-mechanical assemblies with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure the production of high-quality products that meet strict industry standards. Responsibilities Perform soldering of surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) following detailed blueprints and schematics. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to accurately assemble electrical panels and electro-mechanical components. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as soldering irons, ohmmeters, and testing devices to complete assembly tasks. Conduct electrical wiring, mechanical assembly, and troubleshooting of complex electronic systems and control panels. Follow IPC 610 standards for electronic assembly quality control to ensure all work meets industry specifications. Assist in the inspection of assemblies using visual inspection techniques and testing equipment to verify functionality and quality. Collaborate with engineering teams during troubleshooting processes to resolve issues related to solder joints, component placement, or wiring errors. Qualifications Proven experience in electronics assembly, PCB soldering, or related manufacturing roles. Strong knowledge of electrical schematic reading and interpretation. Familiarity with surface mount technology (SMT), electrical wiring, and blueprint specifications. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and test instruments such as ohmmeters for quality assurance. Understanding of IPC 610 standards for electronic assembly quality control. Ability to read electrical schematics accurately and follow detailed blueprints precisely. Experience with electro-mechanical components, electrical panel building, and mechanical assembly is preferred. Strong troubleshooting skills combined with an understanding of engineering principles related to electronics and mechanical systems.
