Job Description

Volt is immediately hiring Production Workers (Electrical, Electronic & Electromechanical Assembly) in the Chesapeake, VA area. As a Production Worker , you will: Read and follow written and verbal work instructions, procedures, and engineering specifications. Perform electrical, electronic, and electromechanical assembly operations. Use a variety of hand and power tools to complete manufacturing and production tasks. Conduct quality inspections throughout the production process. Identify, document, and report product defects and quality concerns. Rework and repair products according to engineering specifications and change notices. Report issues related to quality, equipment, materials, and processes to supervisors. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Participate in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives. Support material handling and other production-related activities as needed. Cross-train in multiple departments and assist where business needs require. Follow all safety requirements and maintain a Foreign Object Damage (FOD)-free work environment. Ensure equipment is calibrated and used according to established procedures.
The ideal candidate will have:
High School Diploma or GED required. Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, or electromechanical assembly experience preferred. Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Valid driver's license required. Must maintain an active email address. Temp-to-Hire |
Full-Time Opportunity Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach for extended periods. Ability to work up to 10-hour shifts. Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 25 pounds. Ability to perform detailed visual inspections, including color recognition and close-up work.
Pay:
$29.00+/hour •Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc. Qualified candidates should
