$3,000 HIRING BONUS! We're looking to add a Laser Operator to our team. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company and build a career with us. We've recently added a new Amada 6kW Laser with an autoloader, and we're looking for the right person to help us put it to work! Data Metalcraft is a manufacturer of formed sheet metal and welded cabinets used in fiber communications, power grids, and industrial products. Our products utilize a broad range of materials, including aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel. Available Shifts 2nd Shift M-TH 3:00 p.m.-1:30 a.m. (4x10 schedule) Responsibilities include (but not limited to):Machine Setup:
Load raw sheet metal, select correct cutting programs, adjust focal lengths, and set gas pressures, speeds, and wattages.Operation:
Run Amada fiber laser and automated loading systems while monitoring the cutting flow.Quality Control:
Inspect finished metal pieces using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to verify blueprints and tight tolerances.Maintenance:
Perform daily upkeep, clean optics/lenses, change nozzles, and complete general housekeeping (5S) in the work area. Qualifications & Skills Experienc e: 2+ years of manufacturing or CNC laser operation experience (Amada equipment preferred).Technical Knowledg e:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and basic G-code.Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 50 pounds.Safety :
Strict adherence to shop safety protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and handling compressed gases safelyDATA METALCRAFT
