Packager for $21.00/hr Job Description We are seeking a Packaging Specialist to join our team. You will work in a dynamic steel manufacturing environment where you will be responsible for packaging steel plates according to customer specifications. This is a full-time position on 1st and 3rd shift, offering competitive hourly rates and paid breaks. We are looking for individuals to interview and start as soon as possible. We offer weekly pay with overtime paying time and a half. Responsibilities Work in an industrial environment, primarily standing throughout the shift. Package steel by banding large plates to meet customer specifications. Learn and apply customer requirements for each order, including the use of skidded wood runners, bands, and waterproof paper. Collaborate with another packager to manage daily packaging of 50 to 100 bundles. Handle steel plates and sheets weighing between 2,000 to 5,000 lbs per bundle. Use plastic banding for 99% of packaging tasks. Read and follow work instructions, collaborating with the team lead. Operate a stacker machine, load coils, and make skids. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
