An Engine and Machine Fabricator or Assembler constructs, assembles, or rebuilds machines, such as engines, turbines, and similar equipment used in such industries as construction, extraction, textiles, and paper manufacturing.

Job Duties:
Assemble finished products per engineering drawings, work instructions, and bills of material Install hardware including bolts, tube straps, U-bolts, and other fasteners to specified torque valves using calibrated torque tools (torque wrenches, multipliers, etc.) Follow specified torque sequences and patterns to ensure proper load distribution and prevent component damage or failure Apply anti-seize, thread locker, or other specified compounds per work instructions Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine proper assembly methods, fastener locations, and torque requirements Perform final cleaning, polishing, and cosmetic finishing of products to meet quality standards Package and crate finished products for shipment, including fabricating wooden crates or boxes for large or oddly shaped equipment as needed Safely handle, lift, and rig components and finished assemblies, including use of a forklift, hoist, or crane as required Complete and maintain accurate documentation including torque logs, inspection checklists, and traveler paperwork Inspect finished work against drawings and specifications to verify conformance before release Identify and report discrepancies, damage components, or nonconformances to supervision
Qualifications:
Minimum 2-4 years' hands-on experience in mechanical assembly, industrial maintenance, machinery installation, or similar hands-on trade Demonstrated ability to correctly use a torque wrench and follow a specified torque sequence/pattern Working knowledge of proper fastener installation practices, including use of anti-seize and thread locking compounds Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and written work instructions Ability to use standard measuring tools (tape measure, calipers, etc.) accurately Strong attention to detail in both physical work and accompanying documentation Forklift experience required Basic hand and power tool proficiency Ability to work independently once instructions are given, while following documented procedures precisely Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly and stand/walk for the majority of the work shift Training in torque application or fastener assembly Experience with crating/packaging for shipment Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environments
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent. Technical/trade school training or equivalent hands-on experience is strongly preferred. All candidates must be able to pass drug test, pre-employment physical, and background investigation.
