Non-Exempt / Hourly Job Overview PrideStaff is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Mechanical Assembler to join a client's production team in Burleson, TX. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling complex mechanical components and sub-assemblies according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and standard operating procedures. The ideal candidate possesses strong mechanical aptitude, experience with hand and power tools, and a high commitment to quality, safety, and punctuality.
Key Responsibilities Assembly & Fabrication:
Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to assemble metal, plastic, and electro-mechanical parts into complete assemblies.
Tool Operation:
Utilize standard hand tools, pneumatic tools, torque wrenches, power tools, and precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
Quality Assurance:
Inspect parts and finished assemblies to ensure strict compliance with quality standards, specifications, and tolerances; perform basic functional testing as required.
Equipment Maintenance:
Keep tools, fixtures, and production equipment clean, calibrated, and in safe working order.
Inventory & Materials:
Verify raw materials, hardware, and components before assembly; report shortages or damaged parts to leadership immediately.
Safety & Compliance:
Maintain a safe and clean work environment (5S standards) and strictly adhere to all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
Continuous Improvement:
Collaborate with team members, leads, and production management to identify opportunities for efficiency and process improvements.
Qualifications & SkillsRequired:
High school diploma or GED equivalent. 1-3+ years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, assembly drawings, and technical schematics. Skilled in using manual hand tools, power tools, torque equipment, and measurement devices. Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity. Ability to work efficiently both independently and within a team environment. Reliable attendance and punctuality for a 5:00 AM daily start time.
Preferred:
Prior experience with torque-critical fastening and sub-assembly processes. Basic understanding of lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement methodologies. Familiarity with overhead cranes, hoists, or forklift operation.
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Physical Demands:
Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 lbs independently. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and fine motor manipulation throughout the shift.
Environment:
Indoor manufacturing floor environment. Exposure to standard shop noise, dust, and temperature variations depending on the season.
PPE Required:
Steel-toe boots, safety glasses, and cut-resistant gloves (as dictated by specific assembly stations).

Rate (Up to): $18.00 - $20.00 Per Hour
