Job Id:
175454 Deburr Technician is responsible for deburring and finishing precision-machined parts by removing burrs breaking edges cleaning parts removing contamination and using various hand tools and equipment. Will also assists with the inspection final preparation labeling and packaging of finished products for shipment. Will consistently follow customer drawings specifications work instructions travelers and established quality standards to ensure finished products meet customer requirements.
Essential Functions:
Read interpret and follow blueprints sketches travelers work instructions and other product or engineering specifications. Use hand tools such as swivel blades X-Acto knives files scrapers countersinks chamfering tools files and other deburring equipment to finish machined parts according to customer drawings and specifications. Operate equipment such as drill presses Dremel tools tumblers ultrasonic cleaners cryogenic deburring equipment micro air blasters and other finishing equipment as required. Remove burrs break edges clean parts and remove contamination from machined products according to customer drawings specifications and work instructions. Clean parts using approved solvents cleaning solutions and other liquids as required. Select and properly use lighting aids magnification equipment and other visual inspection tools to verify that parts are free of visible burrs and meet customer requirements. Perform visual inspections of finished parts to identify burrs sharp edges contamination foreign objects damage or other conditions that may affect product quality. Package finished products in polybags boxes or other approved packaging according to customer specifications. Accurately label finished products in accordance with customer and company requirements. Verify that the final packaged product is complete and ready for shipment including: Verifying the correct quantity. Confirming quantity increments and shipping dates. Reviewing the traveler for special shipping or packaging instructions. Ensuring required paperwork is complete and accurate. Verifying that no foreign objects or contamination are present before final packaging. Applying the required final inspection stamp or approval. Accurately rubber stamp tag bag and tag finished products according to customer drawings specifications and established procedures. Maintain a clean organized and safe work area. Properly maintain and care for deburring tools equipment and workstations. Follow all company safety quality housekeeping and environmental procedures. Report quality issues damaged parts missing paperwork or other discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor or lead. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
