175455 Operations Clerk is responsible for supporting the day-to-day receiving inventory staging packaging shipping and distribution of raw materials. This position ensures that incoming materials and supplies are received accurately and in good condition material for jobs are staged inventory is properly organized and maintained and outgoing orders are processed packed and shipped accurately and on time.
Essential Functions:
Receive and process incoming purchase orders and shipments. Verify received materials hardware and supplies against purchase orders and shipping documentation. Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy damage and discrepancies. Report shortages damaged materials or incorrect shipments to the appropriate personnel. Stock and organize raw materials inventory hardware and production supplies. Stage materials and hardware for production according to operational requirements. Pick pack label and prepare outbound orders jobs and parts for shipment. Coordinate the mailing and distribution of supplies and materials. Ensure all outgoing shipments are accurate properly packaged and processed in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records related to receiving inventory and shipping activities. Support overall inventory organization and material flow to meet production needs. Maintain a clean orderly and safe work environment. Follow company policies procedures and workplace safety requirements. Communicate effectively with production purchasing shipping and other departments as needed. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skills Knowledge and Experience:
At least 1 year of previous experience working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment is a plus. Experience operating a forklift is required or certification must be completed within 3 months of hire. Proficient in MS Office (e.g. Word Outlook Excel) and Internet. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills. The ability to multi-task prioritize and work independently is essential. Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and respond to unforeseen requests.
