Position Summary Bastech is seeking a dependable, quality-focused General Shop Laborer to support our manufacturing operations in a combined Additive and Subtractive Manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, willing to learn, comfortable performing hands-on work, and able to work effectively as part of a team. This position involves a variety of shop, finishing, material-handling, packaging, and delivery responsibilities. Job Duties and Responsibilities Follow verbal and written work instructions, production procedures, and safety guidelines. Assist machinists, operators, and other production personnel with daily manufacturing activities. Perform general manual labor and material-handling duties throughout the facility. Remove supports from additive-manufactured parts using hand and pneumatic tools. Sandblast and bead blast castings, additive parts, and other components to achieve the required surface finish. Trim, deburr, clean, and finish plastic, metal, and additive-manufactured parts. Remove ceramic molds from investment castings using appropriate tools and equipment. Clean and prepare parts and surfaces for painting or other finishing processes. Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and basic shop equipment safely and effectively. Use measuring equipment, including calipers and micrometers, to verify part dimensions. Inspect completed work for quality, appearance, and conformity to specifications. Package, label, and prepare finished parts and products for shipment or delivery. Safely load and unload materials, parts, equipment, and finished products. Assist with local deliveries and pickups as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Properly handle and store materials, tools, and equipment. Work cooperatively with team members to meet production schedules and quality requirements. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Previous manufacturing, machine shop, fabrication, finishing, or general labor experience is a plus, but not required. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Basic applied mathematics skills and solid mechanical aptitude. Ability to follow detailed instructions and learn new processes. Ability to use basic hand and pneumatic tools. Ability to work independently as well as effectively within a team. Blueprint reading and interpretation experience preferred, but not required. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Dependable work ethic and willingness to learn and develop new skills. Ability to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs. Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate a company vehicle for local deliveries, when required.

Pay:
$16.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
