In this role, you will be responsible for applying high-quality finishes to cabinetry and related components, ensuring they meet precise aesthetic and durability standards. Your expertise in surface preparation, coating application, and finishing techniques will contribute to delivering exceptional products that exceed customer expectations. This position offers an energetic environment where craftsmanship, safety, and efficiency are prioritized to drive continuous improvement and production excellence. Duties Prepare cabinet surfaces through sanding, cleaning, and surface treatment to ensure optimal adhesion of finishes Apply coatings using conventional spray guns, airless paint sprayers, or powder coating equipment with precision and consistency Perform construction painting surface preparation, including masking, filling imperfections, and priming surfaces for finishing Operate hand tools, power tools, machining equipment, and fabrication tools safely to assist in assembly and finishing processes Interpret production documents such as work orders, process sheets, and quality standards to ensure accurate application of finishes Adhere strictly to safety protocols by using personal protective equipment (PPE), including respirators and respiratory protection devices during spraying and coating operations Handle materials efficiently within warehouse environments using forklifts or cranes when necessary while maintaining proper materials handling procedures Conduct visual color comparisons and inspect finished products for quality standards in appearance, coating thickness, and surface integrity Maintain a clean work area by following lean manufacturing principles to promote safety and efficiency throughout the production process Qualifications Proven experience in industrial painting, coating application, or furniture finishing with knowledge Familiarity with coating materials, spray guns (including airless systems), hand tools, power tools, and machining equipment used in finishing processes Ability to interpret manufacturing instructions and technical documents accurately Basic math skills for measuring coatings thickness and material quantities Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes and construction painting surface preparation Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence by using PPE properly and following respiratory protection guidelines Attention to detail with the ability to perform visual color comparisons for consistent finish quality
Pay:
