We are looking for a reliable, hardworking person who wants to learn, take responsibility, and grow with the company. This is not a position for someone who needs to be constantly told what to do. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to what is happening around them, and is willing to learn new skills. What You'll Do Our work varies from day to day and includes both landscape installation and ongoing landscape maintenance.
Responsibilities may include:
Landscape installation and planting Landscape maintenance and detailed horticultural care Mowing and general turf care Pruning, hand weeding, fertilization and plant health care Irrigation installation, troubleshooting and repair Landscape lighting installation and repair Plant and tree care Soil preparation and horticultural work Operating and maintaining tools and equipment Loading, unloading and transporting materials Jobsite setup and cleanup Assisting with layout and installation from landscape plans Specialty landscape construction Working on high-end residential and commercial properties throughout South Florida Our work is varied. One day may involve installing a new landscape or irrigation system, while another may involve mowing, pruning, weeding and caring for an established property. We expect everyone on our team to take pride in all aspects of landscape work and approach both installation and maintenance with the same attention to detail. This is physical, outdoor work in South Florida. Some days are hot, dirty and demanding. You should be comfortable working hard and staying productive throughout the day. What We're Looking For Landscape experience is helpful, but attitude, reliability and initiative are more important.A good candidate:
Shows up on time and ready to work Works hard without needing constant supervision Takes initiative and looks for what needs to be done next Pays attention to details Takes care of tools, equipment and clients' properties Can follow instructions and accepts feedback Wants to learn new skills Works well as part of a small crew Has reliable transportation Has a valid driver's license and good driving record Experience with landscaping, irrigation, construction, equipment operation, horticulture or other skilled trades is a plus. Pay & Opportunity Starting pay: $22-$30/hour depending on experience, skills and demonstrated ability. We are a growing company, and there is significant opportunity for the right person to take on more responsibility. Our goal is not to hire someone who remains a laborer indefinitely.
