REQUIRED EDUCATION
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1-3 years of relevant laboratory, agricultural, plant science, seed testing, biological, or quality-control experience.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to laboratory safety and proper PPE use.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with laboratory procedures, sample handling, or testing is highly desirable.
  • Experience preparing buffers or reagents is a plus.
SUMMARY

Seeking a Seed Quality Lab Technician to support laboratory and greenhouse activities related to seed quality and seed health testing.

This is a hands-on position responsible for preparing and moving physical samples, performing designated seed quality analyses, preparing laboratory materials, supporting seed health testing, and maintaining plant materials used in testing activities.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare, label, organize, and move physical samples throughout the laboratory.
  • Perform designated seed quality and seed health testing activities according to established procedures.
  • Prepare laboratory buffers, reagents, and other materials needed for testing.
  • Maintain indicator plants and support greenhouse activities.
  • Conduct grow-out assays and document observations accurately.
  • Inspect, operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Assist laboratory staff with seed health testing and related activities.
  • Follow established SOPs and ISO Quality Management Standards.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and sample traceability.
  • Wear required PPE and follow all laboratory safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and contribute to a collaborative, multicultural work environment.
  • Manage multiple assignments while maintaining accuracy, quality, and productivity.
  • Drug screen & criminal background check will be required
