MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRED SKILLS
High School Diploma or equivalent; Food Sanitation Certification required (will help obtain) and previous experience in large scale food preparation preferred. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Flexibility and ability to work in a fast paced environment, often with strict deadlines. Ability to read, write, follow recipes and calculate quantities using simple math along with knowledge of operating a personal computer and related software. Capability to prepare daily food menu along with completing inventory, production records and daily sheets. Ability to communicate respectfully to staff, children and coworkers while working effectively as a member of a team. Maintain the highest standard of sanitation and safety according to HACCP principles, the state of Illinois and Local Health Departments.
PAY AND BENEFITS
$16.50/hour starting. Full health insurance program with major medical. Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF Pension). Paid time off.
