Start Date:
Immediate We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a pay rate of $22.92/hr. however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Work in different areas of seed production. Handle seed processing and packaging, including:
- Receiving and scanning seeds
- Cleaning and treating seeds
- Sorting and counting seeds
- Labeling and storing seeds
- Perform outdoor field work, such as:
- Planting
- Pollinating
- Hand harvesting
- Taking notes and entering data
- Use computers, Excel, and handheld devices to record information.
- Help with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Organize and move seeds into storage areas.
- Maintain accurate seed inventory using electronic systems.
- Follow all safety rules, SOPs, and instructions.
- Must be able to bend, lift, sit, or stand for long periods.
- May need to work extra hours during busy/peak seasons.
Education:
High school diploma/GED or related experience.
- Must understand English written and verbal instructions.
- Experience required: 1-3 years.
- Basic mechanical/equipment knowledge may be required.
