Start Date:

Immediate We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a pay rate of $22.92/hr. however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
  • Work in different areas of seed production. Handle seed processing and packaging, including:
  • Receiving and scanning seeds
  • Cleaning and treating seeds
  • Sorting and counting seeds
  • Labeling and storing seeds
  • Perform outdoor field work, such as:
  • Planting
  • Pollinating
  • Hand harvesting
  • Taking notes and entering data
  • Use computers, Excel, and handheld devices to record information.
  • Help with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Organize and move seeds into storage areas.
  • Maintain accurate seed inventory using electronic systems.
  • Follow all safety rules, SOPs, and instructions.
  • Must be able to bend, lift, sit, or stand for long periods.
  • May need to work extra hours during busy/peak seasons.
Education:

High school diploma/GED or related experience.

  • Must understand English written and verbal instructions.
  • Experience required: 1-3 years.
  • Basic mechanical/equipment knowledge may be required.
