Overview Phoenix Finishing/Steiner's Furniture is looking for self-motivated individuals to fill the Furniture Finisher roll in our finish shop. Job Purpose The purpose of the Furniture Finisher job at Steiner's Furniture is to play a roll in all aspects of the furniture finishing process. As a member of the finishing crew you'll disassemble, spray/hand-wipe stain, sand and spray top coat on the furniture. Applicants must be able to get along with coworkers, lift 50 pounds, and be okay with getting dirty. You'll play a part in all aspects of the finishing process. Responsibilities Make sure all furniture is finished in a high quality manner. Work with other employees on the full responsibilities of the shop. Complete jobs on time. Move furniture to designated areas for the next step in the finishing process. Communicate well with employees and customers. Ability to spray finish of stain, sealer, or lacquer as needed to achieve color, depth, clarity without defects. (Training will be provided!) Must be detail oriented. Ability to bend, stoop, walk, and lift as needed to perform duties. Ability to lift parts routinely which weigh up to 50 pounds. Ability to physically push or pull carts to and from the booth as well as turn as needed to spray. Work at a steady pace with scheduled breaks. Perform daily cleaning process to maintain spray equipment and booth. Working Conditions 8 hour days 35-45 hour weeks depending on demand Monday through Friday First Shift (6:30AM-3:00PM) Related keywords: woodworking, carpenter, furniture, interior design, construction, full-time, part-time, hourly, first shift
