Scott James Furniture & Design | Tiverton, RI | Full-Time | $20-$26/hour We're looking for someone who is hands-on, dependable, mechanically inclined, and wants to learn a skilled trade. You do not need years of furniture-making experience to apply. If you've worked with tools, built things, fixed things, worked in construction, automotive, cabinetry, remodeling, boatbuilding, or another hands-on trade, we'd like to hear from you. We're looking for a minimum of 1 year experience in a shop setting. Responsibilities Measure, cut, sand, and prep wood components Assist with furniture construction, assembly, and joinery Operate shop machinery and hand tools safely Work alongside experienced woodworkers on advanced projects Read and follow shop drawings and instructions Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe Inspect work and make adjustments as needed Qualifications 1+ Year of experience with hand tools, table saws, routers, or cabinetry Strong attention to detail and pride in your work Reliable, punctual, good team player Willing to learn and take direction Comfortable measuring accurately and doing basic shop math Valid Driver's License What we offer Hands-on training and mentorship Steady, year-round work Room to grow as your skills develop A clean, professional shop where craftsmanship is valued

Pay:
