We're growing and need a dedicated Woodshop Sanding Assistant to help us keep pace. This is a production role centered on sanding: you'll spend the large majority of your time preparing wood surfaces for finishing, piece after piece, to a consistently high standard. The primary job responsibilities are:

Manually sand by hand a high volume of wood pieces daily, utilizing sanding tables and blocks, preparing surfaces to spec for finishing Maintain consistent quality and a steady production pace across repetitive tasks Help keep the woodshop clean, safe, and organized This role is sanding focused day to day. Occasional cross-training on equipment like table saws and routers may come with time and interest, but it is not the core of the job. The ideal candidate for this role is: Extremely quality minded and detail oriented Comfortable with repetitive, high volume production work Reliable, punctual, and able to meet production timelines Focused on following safety procedures and maintaining an organized workspace Motivated and driven by excellence Comfortable with constructive criticism A coachable team player A good listener and communicator Respectful to everyone and has a positive mindset You have: General woodworking or production sanding experience, or equivalent educational experience Knowledge of woodworking surface refinement equipment and procedures (sanders) Knowledge of wood finishing techniques (helpful, but not required) Understanding of safety standards in a shop, warehouse, or jobsite environment Desire to meaningfully contribute to team planning and process brainstorming meetings Professional appearance and demeanor Driver's license and a reliable vehicle High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Physical requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand and arm motions Ability to lift up to [e.g. 40 lbs] Comfortable working around sawdust and shop equipment with proper PPE If this sounds like you, please submit your resume along with a brief note on why the job interests you.
