Deburr Reports To:

Deburr Lead ROLE:

You will operate DAs, grinders, stroke sanders, bead blasters and other finishing tools on precision sheet metal components. When manufacturing metal parts, there's almost always a burr on the material's edge, and the raw metal finish is typically scratched up. Your job is to eliminate the sharp edges and make the part's finish match what is required on the print. Sometimes you'll work on your own, sometimes in unison with a team, always to the customer's specified requirements and in an organized methodical way.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Impart finish on parts to customer specified requirements, no more no less Interact with our ERP system correctly (punching in and out of jobs) Keep your work area clean and organized Safely setup and operate grinding machines to grind metal work pieces such as dies, parts, and tools Keep your area clean and organized Produce good parts on time. You are responsible for the quality of every part you produce. As with all who work at Inland, help your fellow departments when they get in trouble

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Experience in this position is preferred. Experience in the metal manufacturing environment very preferred Knowledge of basic hand tools and measuring equipment required Ability to read blueprints preferred Physical strength to repeatedly lift and carry 25 lbs.
