Foundry Grinder Col-Pump Company, Inc. Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Grinder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for precision grinding of various materials to meet specific tolerances and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of machining processes, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. Duties Operate grinding machines to produce parts according to specifications. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements. Utilize precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet quality standards. Perform quality inspections on finished products and make necessary adjustments. Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment. Qualifications Proficiency in basic math for measurements and calculations. Experience in machining processes, including lathe operation and plasma cutting. Familiarity with hand tools and electrical discharge machining is preferred. Ability to read blueprints effectively. Knowledge of quality inspection techniques and precision measuring instruments. Forklift operation experience is a plus. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
