Metal Polisher / Grinder 2nd Shift EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Dec USA is seeking a Second Shift Grinder in Mauston, Wisconsin! The Grinder reports to the Second Shift Supervisor and is responsible for operating precision grinding machines to assemble products and product parts to blueprint and engineering specifications consistent with job specifications and quality standards. Selects, mounts, attaches and calibrates a variety of attachments, grinding machines to grind angles, contours, lines, spheres and more onto surfaces.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Inspect equipment to assure it is in safe operating condition prior to beginning work and complete all preventative maintenance checks Perform routine maintenance as required Read and interpret blueprints and work orders to verify that specifications and tolerances are met Obtain all materials, parts and tools to complete each job Apply knowledge of specified finishes and proper operating sequence of grinding steps to obtain required results Produce various finishes on metal, grind welds and deburr rough metal Improve efficiencies, reduce scrap and improve quality Verify that all work meets required specifications and tolerances Accurately complete all necessary paperwork Follows all safety requirements and works with safety in mind. Maintains awareness of hazardous areas and situations, immediately notifies team leader or supervisor of any quality or safety problems, concerns or delays. Works cooperatively with others in a continuous improvement environment; attends and participates in team meetings, helps others as needed. Performs other duties as apparent or assigned.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

(Education, Experience, Skills, etc.): Grinding experience required Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures Demonstrate ability to read, interpret and apply blueprints, weld symbols and procedures
