With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, were now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service. Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Hand Layup Technician. Our team's motto is: Build Quality Parts On Time. A Hand Layup Technician is at the heart of manufacturing and fabricates parts by precisely cutting, placing, and molding composite materials. Our team ensures proper ply orientation, ply consolidation, and that quality standards are met while reading technical drawings and using hand tools. Additionally, proficiency in performing vacuum bagging and knowledge of curing operations are necessary for this role.   • 6:30PM Responsibilities Perform tooling prep operations in preparation for lamination.
Prepare and organize composite materials in preparation for lamination. Apply composite materials onto molds or tooling surfaces using techniques like hand layup or automated processes. Ensure proper ply orientation, ply thickness, and material consolidation is achieved. Proficiency in vacuum bagging techniques for composite layup operations. Interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Basic use of computers for documentation and record-keeping purposes. Required HS Diploma or GED Equivalent Experience working in fast-paced, time sensitive environments Demonstrated abilities following standardized work instructions, technical requirements, and executing standard processes. Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes. Lifting of 50 lbs.aided or unaided throughout the day. Have no known allergies to epoxies or other composites materials and able to become certified to wear a respirator. Must be able to walk or stand for extended periods throughout the day. Continuous standing, squatting, bending, pulling, twisting, and lifting throughout the workday. Repetitive motion of manual work Ability to become forklift, crane, or equipment certified Desired 1+ year of manufacturing experience or applicable wet-lamination experience Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment Experience in a high-volume production environment that relies on a well-defined process to achieve maximum efficiency. Familiarity with lean manufacturing or 5S environments. The target base pay for this position is $18
  • 32/hr.
The compensation package will be determined by job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
