Job Description

As an Industrial Environmental Technician, you will play a key role in the remediation and maintenance of industrial plant sites. Your daily tasks will involve utilizing specialized tools such as vacuum systems, high-pressure water units, and dry ice blasting technology to manage both hazardous and non-hazardous materials. This position provides a collaborative environment where you can expand your technical expertise and progress from an entry-level role into leadership responsibilities. Reporting Structure This role reports directly to the Regional Manager. Core Duties Utilize a variety of industrial machinery, including pumps, vacuum systems, hydro-blasters, and heavy equipment like forklifts and man lifts, to support site operations. Execute essential cleaning tasks such as managing chemical spills, sanitizing tanks and boilers, and decontaminating equipment to ensure a safe facility. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles, operational equipment, and site safety protocols to maintain high standards. Engage in demanding physical tasks, including the lifting, pushing, and pulling of heavy materials to help maintain site efficiency. Verify that all machinery is used correctly and report any mechanical issues or operational concerns to management immediately. Uphold a professional image and conduct yourself appropriately while representing the company in uniform. Provide rapid and reliable support when scheduled for on-call duties. Possess a valid driver's license with a clean record, and successfully complete all required DOT physicals, drug screenings, and background checks. Prior experience in construction or industrial environmental sectors is considered an asset. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude is highly valued for this role. Exhibit strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Maintain flexibility to travel for assignments, generally within a four-hour radius. Successfully complete all company-sponsored training, including Confined Space Entry and 40-Hour
OSHA HAZWOPER
certification. Perform additional tasks as required by the business. Physical Demands Demonstrate the stamina required for intensive physical labor. Spend extended periods standing, walking, climbing, and bending to complete site tasks. Navigate heights by climbing ladders, scaffolding, and various industrial containers. Lift and carry objects weighing between 50 and 75 pounds. Operate motor vehicles safely as part of your daily responsibilities. Function effectively in environments that may include high noise levels or confined spaces. Work in areas where exposure to various chemical or physical agents, including toxic or corrosive materials, may occur. Exercise self-direction and maintain productivity with minimal oversight. Correctly utilize all required personal protective equipment, including respirators, to ensure personal safety. Maintain a clean-shaven appearance to ensure the proper seal and function of respiratory protection. Endure work shifts that typically exceed eight hours in duration.
