JOB TITLE
Robotics Weld Operator
LOCATION
Tennessee
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
Operates robotic weld equipment. Produces assemblies of metal work pieces to quality and efficiency standards, including repetitive lifting and placing metal work pieces and sheets into fixtures. Measures dimensions of work pieces to ensure conformance using calipers, micrometers, height gages, templates, etc. Knowledge regarding physical properties and welding characteristics of metal, effects of heat, welding shrinkage, welding techniques and allowance for thickness. Reads prints to determine specifications and accurately complete all required functions. Safely completes finishing functions such as grinding, sanding, etc. This job description reflects the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Additional duties and responsibilities may be required, based upon business needs, at any time with or without notice.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school level education or equivalent specialized training which may be obtained in vocational courses or on the job. Requires knowledge of physical properties and welding characteristics of metal, effects of heat, welding shrinkage, welding techniques and allowance for thickness. Ability to read and understand welding procedures.
PHYSCIAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift 50lbs with or without accommodations. 2nd
Shift:
(4) 10 hour nights 4:40pm - 3:10am Monday thru
Thursday WEEKEND Shift:
(3) 12 hour days 5:00am till 5:30pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday 40 hours standard work cycle Overtime is available if/when needed by the company Weekend shift works 36. Paid for 40.
